Fire and Stars Woodland Sauna - Participant Waiver and Release

Please read carefully before booking or attending. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that using a wood-fired sauna and taking part in associated heat exposure and optional cold-water immersion activities involves physical exertion and exposure to temperature extremes. These activities may pose health risks. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injury, illness, or adverse reaction, whether foreseen or unforeseen, that may result from my participation.

2. Health Conditions

I confirm that:

  • I am in good physical health and capable of safely using a sauna.

  • I have no known medical conditions that could be aggravated by heat or cold exposure, including but not limited to heart disease, high or low blood pressure, respiratory conditions, or pregnancy.

  • If I have any doubts about my health or medical suitability, I will consult my GP before attending.

  • I will not use the sauna while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair my judgment or reaction.

3. Outdoor Environment

I understand that Fire and Stars Woodland Sauna is located in an outdoor woodland setting. I accept the inherent risks associated with uneven ground, changing weather conditions, reduced visibility, natural surfaces, and environmental factors.

4. Safe Use and Personal Responsibility

I agree to:

  • Follow all posted safety guidance and verbal instructions from Fire and Stars staff.

  • Enter and exit the sauna carefully, remain hydrated, and take appropriate cooling breaks.

  • Immediately leave the sauna if I feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unwell.

  • Respect other guests and use the facilities responsibly.

  • Take full responsibility for my own safety, wellbeing, and personal belongings during my visit.

I understand that Fire and Stars staff are not medical professionals and that I am responsible for monitoring my own physical condition.

5. Age and Legal Capacity

I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age. If minors are permitted to attend specific sessions, I confirm that I am the legal guardian of the minor and accept full responsibility on their behalf.

6. Photography and Conduct

I consent to the use of general photography or video by Fire and Stars for marketing purposes, provided I am not identifiable without my explicit consent.
I agree to behave respectfully at all times and understand that Fire and Stars reserves the right to refuse entry or require me to leave without refund if my behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.

7. Liability Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Fire and Stars, its owners, staff, and agents from any liability, claims, or demands arising out of or in connection with my use of the sauna facilities, except in cases of proven negligence or where liability cannot be excluded by law.

8. Acknowledgement

I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver and agree to its terms voluntarily. I understand that by booking or attending, I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to bring claims for injury or loss, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
